About the event

A little planning can go a long way toward making sure you are prepared to cover costs that could arise in the event of an emergency. Whether you face a tornado, flood, ice storm, or any other type of disaster, the following tips will help you and your family financially prepare for the unexpected.

Kentuckians have experienced firsthand how natural disasters can occur anytime and often with little warning. Disasters take many forms, and most areas of family life feel their effects.   This program is designed to equip communities with the knowledge of Disaster Readiness and Response, including preparatory steps to take, and reliable resources to consult. It is presented by Tara Duty, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, in partnership with Mercer County Cooperative Extension. It is one of 4 disaster preparedness programs we will be holding this spring.
