Resources for Mercer County Teachers

• MCPL Assignment Alert - This online form lets the staff of your Mercer County  Public Library know in advance when you and your students will need materials for research assignments, reading assignments, papers and portfolios. The staff  will then be able to help your students make the best possible use of the library's resources.
  2 - 3 weeks notice will help us to serve your students better. If materials need to be ordered, we will need more time.

• Using Online resources - MCPL has accessability to the EBSCO KVL & KVU  databases, including periodical full text searches. For guides on how to use EBSCO click here or contact MCPL for reproducible handouts.

  • Learn-A-Test - Online sample questions and tests, testing tips, and timed sections for many standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, ASVAB, Advanced Placement, teaching Certification and GED.

• Information Regarding Library Visits -  We love to have classes visit MCPL, but before bringing a class to check out materials, keep in mind the following information:
  • The Policy of the Mercer County Public library states that Library card applications may not be taken out of the building for a parent signature, therefore students wishing to check out materials during their visit must have a library card already signed by a parent or guardian prior to the class visit.
  • We will make a reasonable effort to check a class list for valid library cards.
  • Students must have their library cards with them to check out materials.
  • Lost cards may be replaced for $2.00.
