As a public place,
the Mercer County Public Library accepts no responsibility for personal
items left on library property. When items are discovered or turned in,
and they contain legible identification, Library staff will make a
reasonable effort to notify the owner, by telephone or postcard if a
telephone number or address is readily ascertainable.
Any item left in the
library, not to include pens, pencils, and items of incidental value, will
be dated and kept at the circulation desk for a period of two (2) weeks.
After that time, items will be appropriately disposed of: books will be
placed in the library book sale, money will be recorded as a gift to the
library, other usable items will be donated to the Christian Life Center,
and non-usable items will be thrown away. |
